The Brief – Hyper Evolution
Pragma’s annual conference was a landmark event on the calendar of a wide range of channel businesses. 2022’s edition was unique in that it incorporated two new brands for the first time, digital services provider Candio, and UC enablement technology provider Techland. 2022’s conference was also a special occasion as it marked Pragma’s tenth year in business.
GetCrisp had provided videography and design services to previous Pragma conferences, but 2022’s event required a wider range of services. The theme of 2022’s conference was Hyper Evolution, and GetCrisp ensured every aspect of the event reflected this.
The Project
Hyper Evolution was about demonstrating to Pragma’s resellers partners the possibilities created by bringing businesses together. This purpose had to be reflected in every aspect of the design, promotion and presentation of the event, which was hosted in The Grand Hotel in Brighton.
For the first time, the Pragma conference was incorporating more brands than just Pragma and Ericsson-LG. So, we knew that the design we presented had to carry the values of more than just one organisation, but also to unify all the brands there under a single banner.
The Process
GetCrisp’s design team worked to build the Hyper Evolution branding from the ground up. We started with a logo and theme. We selected a font that balanced sharpness and readability. We created a design incorporating flowing lines and dynamic waves to signify evolution and innovation.
The next step was to create branded physical and digital collateral for the event itself. The event was split over the ‘solution fair’ exhibition during the day, followed by presentations from keynote speakers, a dinner, awards show and evening drinks.

The Event
Before the event itself, we worked with the Pragma marketing team to create a memorable and on-brand campaign to promote Hyper Evolution. This included social media content, press releases, and an email campaign to event attendees and sponsors.
Before the event kicked off in earnest there was plenty of prep to do beforehand. This included AV support, setting up the stands in the solution fair, and a trial run of the presentations.
The solutions fair and presentations were followed by the dinner and awards show. The GetCrisp team also managed this part of the event, including hiring the evening’s celebrity host.
When we first started working with GetCrisp, I was quite sceptical around the importance of mission and vision statements. Having gone through an extensive process with them to help build our brand out for the future, I would say that what was encapsulated in our mission and vision statement is exactly what we are and what we would like to be.

The Result
We’re delighted to say the event was a success for Pragma and their partners. Attendees highlighted the personal touches, like the ripple maker that allowed them to create their company logo in their drinks. It marked a fantastic 10 years for Pragma, who went on to win UCaaS Vendor of the Year at the Comms National Awards later in 2022.
